A 16 year old girl is trained by her father to be the worlds deadliest assassin. Finally it's her time to go out into the world to fulfill her duty: to kill a women who has been hunting for her her entire life.

I have been looking forward to this movie since the first teaser a long time ago. I had built it up in my mind for months and marked the opening date on my calendar and all that nerdy stuff. You know what, it was just as good if not better than I wanted and hoped it to be. I loved every minute of it.

Saoirse Ronan....you're the coolest chick alive right now. Without any battle, you win, hands down. She owned this movie and her role. This performance is something that I hope people really get the chance to see her. She was first really noticed in The Lovely Bones but watching her in The Way Back and now this amazing movie really made my eyebrows raise. I look forward to her next project...

I hadn't really noticed Eric Bana all that much. He sort of disappeared a little bit, or at least, dropped of my radar for awhile. While his screen time wasn't as much as I wanted later on his few scenes were beyond fantastic. He can really do action. Oh man, some of his fight scenes...I was yelling out in the theatre. I couldn't help it, so good. High five Bana.

Cate Blanchett was sadly not as amazing as I wanted her to be. Not sure if her character just didn't appeal to me this time or something but I didn't really care when she was around.

This is more of a chase movie rather than a shoot 'em up action flick. Oh, trust me, there are guns and blood and that goodness, but mostly it's about escape and hand-to-hand combat. You wont be disappointed though. Really. Some of the fight choreography gave me goosebumps...not just because I'm weird like that, but because it was original and very well done.

Soundtrack...amazing! It really just completed the movie for me. Joe Wright did a great job directing but you really need the music to make a good film. The Chemical Brothers nailed it for sure, I may even buy this soundtrack if I see it in the near future.

If you like action movies at all you should try to make it to the big screen to see this movie. The louder and bigger the better. It had more comedy in it than I was expecting but not enough to take it off track. I also liked all the relationships, either new or old, that they let us in on during the course of the film. Really helped me find some necessary layers to Hanna and her life.

Saoirse Ronan....no words.

Loved it!

Based on the amazing novel by Philip K. Dick.

An undercover cop in the near future comes in contact with a new drug and begins to lose himself in the new world and new person he is slowly becoming.

The cast in this movie should be enough to make anyone want to watch it: Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr, Woody Harrelson and Winona Ryder.

Keanu was actually pretty perfect in this role. I don't care what anyone says about his acting and what not but sometimes the way he does act is exactly the way the character should be and that's probably why he keeps making movies...face it, no one can be Keanu like Keanu. These are facts of life.

Robert Downey Jr. could make a movie of his left nostril and I would like it, because it would be amazing. I don't know how this man does it but I think he has taken over the "actor that can do anything" thrown (sorry Johnny Depp). Really though, this guy can do just about anything and add so many little twitches, nods, habits and looks that full a character up so completely and so smoothly. Outstanding. Love it.

Woody Harrelson is beyond hilarious in this movie. While I don't like Winona Ryder she wasn't around all that much so it didn't really bother me all that much.

I love the look of this movie. The type of animation it was done in was still really new at the time it came out (2006). I remember watching The Waking Life and being mind blown, same thing in this film. Love the style. Adds an extra sense of mystery to the movie.

This is not a simple film, it can get heavy at times and digs into some touchy subjects. Addiction, the government and drugs, personal struggle and loss, alienation and death. Yet, there is enough comedy to keep you alive until the credits roll. Prepare to think...

Definitely one of the better drug related movies in my opinion.

I cannot believe this movie is already 7 years old! Crazy. I still remember the first time I watched it and, more importantly, the first time it changed me in the way only a good movie can.

After the death of his mother a son returns home for the first time in 9 years and is thrown back into his past and all the things he was trying to stay numb from his entire life.

This movie is easily one of my favourites. I honestly don't feel the need to write a long review here at all because everyone should watch this movie and love their lives all the more because of it.

So many reasons why it is the best: the music, Natalie Portman's character is the best, Zach Braff wrote/directed/acted/and did the soundtrack which is beyond delicious, the soundtrack again (just to be clear), comedy, drama, cute love, references to Medieval Times, Peter Sarsgaard, motorcycle with a sidecar, Ian Holm, Jim Parson (way before The Big Bang Theory)....

I could go on and on.

This script is a once in a lifetime creation and Zach Braff should've won every single award possible because not only did he write it but his performance was amazing...everything about this movie is amazing.

If it doesn't strike some kind of emotion cord somewhere then....I just don't know. That is weird.

A captain awakes in a strangers body but quickly learns that he is part of a crucial mission attempting to find a bomber who is threatening to blow up downtown Chicago.

If you have been reading my blog for even a short amount of time you must have noticed that I am quite the Jake Gyllenhaal fan (Love and Other Drugs, Brothers, Bubble Boy). I think he is fantastic. Yes, he is stunningly handsome, but all looks aside, I really like what he does. He has this energy and this urgency to him in all his movies that I get sucked into completely. I just...believe everything that he says and can't help but listen to every word he says; even the ridiculous words. I think he is really diverse, going from comedy to romance and straight to action and then intense dramas...me like. Me like a lot.

Michelle Monaghan was good, she just wasn't in the movie all that much and when she was it was just her the same over and over again...well, not entirely, but all the attention is definitely on Jake so it wasn't get fault. I like her though, she hasn't ruined a movie for me yet. I first noticed her in Eagle Eye but, now that I think about it, she was about the same in this movie too. Hmm.

The action is there but it's short lived seeing how it's restricted to 8 minutes over and over again (you'll see what I mean more when/if you watch it).

I liked how they touched base on the whole alternate realities and paradoxes, but they didn't talk about it nearly enough for this movie to be considered sci-fi. Not in my opinion anyways. There also wasn't enough action in it for it to be this serious suspense/action flick. It hovers around the two genres but doesn't have enough meat on either side for it to really jump out and grab hold. I know they were trying to get the best of both worlds but it didn't really work that well.

It was still entertaining though. I liked the over all idea/plot and Jake's character was interesting and they did attempt to add some sci-fi concepts which tickled my nerdy sense and there was pyro and guns so that's a win win. It just, didn't do it for me though.

I liked the ending though, maybe not the very ending, but where they went with it right near the end was when they really got my attention. High five for that. It could've ending really badly...

In Roman ruled Britain, a Captains son attempts to clear his family's name by finding what his father lost: the eagle.

Oh, right. This movie. The one that you most likely forgot even existed and are now wondering if it even opened in theatres...it did. Don't fear though, it's nothing to really remember...

I still don't like Channing Tatum. I don't understand how he is still making movies. A strange part of me wants to like him, so I keep watching his movies, only to be disappointed and sometimes angry. This movie was the same thing as G.I. Joe...sad.

I love Jamie Bell though, who is most known for his role in Billy Elliot. I know, that kid! He's all grown up...my oh my he has grown up. *wink* But really, I always love watching him in movies and even though this film was awful it would have been a near 0 rating if Jamie hadn't of tried to make it good. Good show man, but nothing could've saved this movie. Well...maybe an entirely different script and lead...

I am giving it a 2 because there were some pretty okay action/suspense stuff going on. Also, the sword play was decent enough I suppose. I thought this was going to be the worst historical action flick I have seen in awhile so that may be helping the rating a bit too. Maybe I'm feel generous today...

Okay. Here's the deal. If you don't mind watching Channing Tatum, like Roman type stuff but aren't a snob about it (or else you'll cry yourself to death from inaccuracy), if you like swords and obvious endings, then you should watch this movie.

Or, if you were like me and my friend, and you like action movies and wanted to watching something that you could just sit and laugh at the entire time, you should watch this movie.

Ultimately forgettable.
